Track one from Karateka. Probably Robin's most personal song to date. Less whimsical, more sad, but from the gut, nonetheless. Also, there was a healthy debate on whether to start the album with this one or Indier than Thou... it could go either way. What do YOU think?
lyrics
Playoffs cancelled due to sleet.
Batting ninth: the strike-out king!
And I tell myself "let it go"
And I tell myself that things could be much worse
And I tell myself "let it go"
And I tell myself to just leave it be.
I ain't no PYT, I just know how to strum and sing.
And I tell myself "let it go"
And I tell myself that things could be much worse
And I tell myself "let it go"
And I tell myself to just leave it be.
And I can't pretend not to give a fuck anymore.
